WIEGAND CONVERTERS

OEMs now can use any existing Wiegand data output device and convert this information to a format compatible with either the serial or USB port of a PC.

Security Tokens offers a line of bare-board wiegand data converters. The products in this category are suitable for OEMs who  have the need to take the Wiegand output and convert this to RS232 or USB.

The Security Tokens converters are capable of translating all major Wiegand-based reader technologies including Proximity, BarCode,  and MagStripe to either RS232 or USB. As an example, a BarCode or Wiegand reader can be attached through a converter to a serial or USB port on a PC. The PC program will see the card reads as a formatted  ASCII string, perfect for data security or time and attendance.

Custom Converters Other technologies and formats are available. Consult factory for latest list. In general, converters can  be quickly developed for your special needs. Please supply us with the following information: 1. What is the hardware/interface? 2. What is the data format? 3. What type of reader? (Card, Keypad,  Fingerprint, Etc.)
